Do you want to Fire your Boss ?
Be careful who you listen to, and take advice from when it comes to making money in your business.
Recently, I read a critical review of Empower Network as a business model.
(so this person can save face, I'll leave their name out of it)
The review was extremely well written as a review, criticizing our marketing training, skewed entirely towards the negative. To be
exact, it had around 3,000 words, was 2 pages long, and had one positive thingt to say about us.
In the comments, the author was responding to every single comment, with responses like "if only people knew the better way... the real online business model... they would never fall for this sort of thing..."
Here's the thing - the site actually LOOKED like someone who makes money.
(By the way, it's rare for people who ACTUALLY make money to directly spend a lot of time criticizing other businesses)
It had good design, decent lead capture functions, and was ranked in the top 12,000 most trafficked blogs online.
It SEEMED like the person was an expert at making money online through blogging... and I even thought they must.
After all, back my 3rd month online - I was making $30,000 a month selling stuff that was impossible to sell, that payed from 20-40% commissions - with a shitty design, a slow loading site, database issues, and working out of a tiny spare room in my parents house in Alaska.
So this site - the top 12,000 online, beautiful design, a list of 19,000 subscribers - this person is an EXPERT at running a business online, right?
Well, I thought so, which is why I was perplexed by the review... until I poked around on the site for 5 minutes and found... (get this) this person ACTUALLY reports how much money they make.
I saw that, and immediately clicked on the most recent report, from October of 2012... I figured - man, this lady must be banking!!!
LOL!
Net income for the month of October? LESS than $700.
Less than $700!
When I had 1,000 people on my list, selling affiliate products, blogging from a shitty design, my income was $30,000 a month - and here is a person, with 20,000 subscribers - blogging for 3 years, who isn't making an AVERAGE American income, criticizing our training!
LMAO!
Seriously?!?!?!?!???? Your going to criticize a business model that has done $20.4 million in sales in 12 months blogging - when you're a blogger that makes LESS than $700 a month with a list that's 19 times the size of my list when I was making $30,000 a month? YOU are going to criticize ME?
"Everyone, save the people from that aweful Empower Network, where people make money blogging... Do it my way!!! It's better! After all, they had way over 500 people last month make more than me, 50 employees who make more than me... ALL of whom know less technical skills... and work less hard at this... but - my way is better! Listen to me! Give me attention, too! I'm an expert... and I can teach you how to be a guru, too... a guru who ALMOST is making $700 a month after my third year... Follow me, and maybe you'll make $700 in 3 years, too!"
How about the unethical practice of criticizing a business teaching people to make money online, and pretending you're an expert, when you can't even make an AVERAGE American income? Last month - we had nearly 700 people make more money than you, mystery blogger.
So here's my advice:
Take your criticism on how we run our business, roll it into a ball, and shove it up your ass. Keep being broke.
"Nobody ever built a statue to a critic." -unknown
Again, this affirmed several things that I've known, and taught for years:
1. People who make money don't directly attack each other generally. It's a waste of our time. (notice how I left this person's name out - and please, leave it out of the comments if you know who it is - this is not a bad person, they just have some poverty issues.)
2. Critics are generally broke.
3. Technical skills do not make money. Pretty sites don't make money. Good marketing makes money.
4. What we give people at Empower Network is extraordinary, in both value, community, our products, and our ability to make money blogging, and marketing. There isn't really anything like what we do online.
5. It's best to ignore the complete, absolute, total losers out there, who spend hours, weeks, and days being negative, criticizing others, and pretend that they're being 'fair' and 'unbiased'
Why? It's because of the truth:
There is no such thing as an 'unbiased' opinion. All perceptions in life are controlled by our beliefs, focus, and perception - when we have a belief - it is by definition biased.
6. It's important to realize, if you're going to be biased, be biased and rich - control your attention, and focus on people who can ACTUALLY help you get what you want.
Here's who those people are not:
People who are not making any money, and are spending an enormous amount of time criticizing others to get attention, who can't make any money with all their 'guru hood' and wisdom.... can only help you have what they have - which is..... (drum roll):
A crappy, miserable existence, that they are doing their best to project on to you. Protect your mind. Ignore the wussies.
I think when we first launched, people thought when I made fun of Gurus, it was people like Dillard, Seig, Ray and Fernie, Budd, etc. Not the case - those guys know what they're doing.
I'm slamming the people who think that they are a guru, and that you need to be like them - who don't know what they are doing, don't know how to sell, have never made a lot of money in their life in this business - who lead you astray.
It's time for YOU to get a massive, unbelievable result in your business.
Hit 'like' if you think people making $700 a month have no right in business to criticize the marketing effectiveness of a business that's doing $5 million in sales a month.
Hit 'share' if you think it's important to listen to people who ACTUALLY know how to get what you want.
Love you all.

God Has Humor
On the second day, God created the monkey and said, “Entertain people, do tricks, and make them laugh. For this, I’ll give you a twenty-year life span.”
The monkey said, “Monkey tricks for twenty years? That’s a pretty long time to perform. How about I give you back ten like the dog did?”
And God again said that it was good.
On the third day, God created the cow and said, “You must go into the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer’s family. For this, I will give you a life span of sixty years.”
The cow said, “That’s kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. How about twenty and I’ll give back the other forty?”
And God agreed it was good.
On the fourth day, God created humans and said, “Eat, sleep, play, marry and enjoy your life. For this, I’ll give you twenty years.”
But the human said, “Only twenty years? Could you possibly give me my twenty, the forty the cow gave back, the ten the monkey gave back, and the ten the dog gave back; that makes eighty, okay?”
“Okay,” said God, “You asked for it.”
So that is why for our first twenty years, we eat, sleep, play and enjoy ourselves. For the next forty years, we slave in the sun to support our family. For the next ten years, we do monkey tricks to entertain the grandchildren. And for the last ten years, we sit on the front porch and bark at everyone.
Life has now been explained to you.
There is no need to thank me for this valuable information. I’m doing it as a public service. If you are looking for me I will be on the front porch.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance Michigan
As is the case in most states, buying health insurance coverage in Michigan can be confusing. There are two general types of insurance. The first is group health insurance coverage. This is the best choice because it is typically offered by an employer and results in much lower premiums for the insured. The second choice is an individual health insurance plan. If you don't have access to group insurance, this will be the route you need to take. If that's the case one of your main focuses will be how to save money and get discount health insurance in Michigan.
The type of health insurance plan you decide on will be determined by your own unique set of circumstances. If you are a single person you can expect to pay less than someone who is looking for a policy that will protect them, their spouse and their children. It's important to have a clear idea of what coverage you feel is mandatory before collecting any quotes.
Fee-for-service is the most popular type of private health insurance offered in the state. This involves the insured having to pay for every service they receive. A portion of the complete cost of the service is covered by the insurance company, and the insured is left to pay for the remainder. One of the most appealing aspects about this particular type of health insurance is that you can pick your own doctor or treatment facility. This is very important to many people.
After you've decided on a health insurance plan be careful about how you pay your premiums. You may find a discount health insurance policy only to discover that you are responsible for service charges if you decide to pay monthly. Ask about this before making any payment arrangements so you can ensure you are indeed enjoying the lowest price possible.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Oregon
Oregon is a great state to live if you are looking for discount health insurance. Even if you have no health insurance, Oregon's Prescription Drug Program went into effect at the end of 2006, providing deep discounts on prescription drugs to just about all residents of the state, regardless of income.
According to the Insurance Division of the State of Oregon, 39% of the citizens of Oregon are currently covered by one of the major private health insurers in the state. Many more families are covered by employer-supplied health insurance.
For those seeking discount health insurance in Oregon on their own, here are a few things to keep in mind.
One of the main ways in which people balance the cost of health care is through the raising or lowering of their plan's deductible. A deductible is the amount of money you pay out of your own pocket for your health needs before your insurance begins paying. The larger the deductible, the lower the monthly premiums you'll have to pay.
One of the best ways to keep health care costs down is to make a list of exactly what you and your family need most from health insurance. Do you need to have routine doctor visits covered? Do you foresee any hospital stays in the coming year? Are prescriptions your main concern? Is there a chronic health need in your family that needs to be addressed? Can you put aside enough cash to cover a larger deductible?
Once you know exactly what your family's primary needs and concerns are, there are several websites which allow for side-by-side comparisons of policy costs based on the criteria which you have determined are most important to you.
By taking the time to make a list of your major insurance needs and then comparing policies online, you and your family should be able to save money and get the discount health insurance that you need and deserve.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Maine
The law in Maine regarding health insurance is very clear. Anyone in the state who applies for individual health insurance must be sold a policy. If you do have a pre-existing condition, you should know that health insurance companies in Maine do not have to pay any benefits that relate directly to that condition for the first twelve months after you purchase the policy.
If you are healthy and haven't been diagnosed with anything serious, this is the time to invest in health insurance in Maine. This is one of the main reasons it's often suggested that a young person buy a health insurance policy. At the top of most people's agenda when it comes to medical insurance, regardless of their age, is the cost. This protection can be expensive if you don't fully understand what it is you need and the various ways you can save money.
One way many people in Maine save money and get discount health insurance is by contacting several different vendors to get a quote. This means calling various insurance companies so you can get a clear idea of how much they would charge you for coverage. Once you've done this you can then compare the prices and levels of coverage from one insurance company to another to determine which offers the best deal for your unique situation.
Obviously if you are insuring your entire family as opposed to just yourself, it will cost more as well. You may be able to save some money by removing your college age child from your insurance. Many colleges now offer low cost health insurance to students under a group plan. If this is the case you'll likely find that the premium for the group plan at school is much less than the portion of the premium of the individual plan that is dedicated to the child.

Save Time, Money and Health - Plan Your Menu Ahead
If you're the typical American family, you're probably part of a two-couple household, both of whom work, maybe with a few children still at home. Or becoming more typical is the single working person either working outside the home or running a home-based business. Whichever category you fall into, the fact is, we are all very busy and often what, where, when, and how we eat is on the low end of the priority list.
However, with more and more information becoming evident about how what we put in our bodies affects our health, we should be more concerned with what, where, when, and how we eat. To that end, I'm suggesting a little time spent in meal planning can go a long way.
Pick some time each week when you can set aside a few hours to plan ahead. This small amount of time will wind up saving you more time-as well as money and health in the long run. Here are some suggestions on how to create a menu plan:
1. Choose the same few hours each week to plan your menu. Good times might be Saturdays from 10am to noon or Sundays from 4pm to 6pm. Pick the same time each week and it will soon become a routine once you have the planning strategy worked out.
2. Create a chart with 7 columns for each day of the week and 6 rows for 3 meals and 3 snacks. Vary this to fit your particular needs, then make 4 copies for one month. Before the last week of the month, make 4 copies for the next month. This is easy to do if you create the chart on your computer in Ms Word or Excel.
3. Fill in the blanks as much as you can with your selections for each meal. You may want to leave some spaces blank for spontaneity. Doing this will take some time as you want to consider health concerns, family members' preferences and allergies, their schedules, any budgetary or time constraints, and any other factors that may be specific to your needs. Also, you might want to experiment with one new recipe each week to add variety.
4. Economize time and resources. Planning ahead allows you to design your menu so you can, for example, bake a casserole on Sunday night and have leftovers on Monday and Tuesday. You can read the grocery store ads and take advantage of specials; you can go to the farmer's market to purchase the local produce that's in season.
5. Learn how you can eat healthier. When planning your weekly menu, you have the opportunity to start eating healthier. That might mean cutting back on red meat, adding more fresh vegetables, or introducing some new foods like tofu or salmon, that your family has never eaten before. Because there are several theories on what constitutes healthy eating, choose a few to examine and then test them on your family. It can get confusing as to whether red wine or coffee are beneficial or harmful, but let your body be the testing ground and see what fuels you and feels good to you. It's best to stay informed and see what makes sense.
Lastly, planning your menu ahead will save you time, money, and health because you'll be eating out less. The average family eats out or brings home prepared foods at least three times per week. It may seem like eating prepared food is saving time, but it's not saving money and you don't know how healthy the food is since you didn't prepare it yourself. And if you plan ahead, you will save time by being organized, with less trips to the grocery, and less meal preparation. Your family's health is worth it, isn't it?

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Florida
Health insurance is generally considered one of the least affordable of all the types of insurance that the average America is expected to purchase. In fact, approximately 17% of all Florida residents can't afford any health coverage at all.
Group health insurance is almost always less expensive than individual health care so if your employer or some organization that you belong to makes group health insurance available to you that may be your best bet.
If you have no insurance and you meet certain low-income requirements then your children 19 years of age and younger may qualify for the state of Florida's KidCare Program. For more information on this state-sponsored program check out: http://www.floridakidcare.org/
If you have a home business check with your insurance agent. Many home-based businesses in Florida, regardless of whether they have any employees or not, qualify for group rate health insurance.
If you are still looking for individual health insurance there may be ways of getting the cost of your policy down to the point that it doesn't make you sick.
Let's start with your smoking. If you smoke or use any other form of tobacco product (such as chew) then you need to quit. Period. Smokers pay a considerably higher rate for health insurance than do non-smokers. If you have a health insurance policy currently and you smoked when you first got your policy but you have since quit you need to speak with your agent - you could be due a rather heft decrease in your monthly premium payments!
Are you overweight? Even though the majority of Americans are overweight it still costs overweight people more to purchase health insurance than it does for people who fall within the "normal" range on the weight charts. The good news is you don't have to lose all of your weight to get a break on your health insurance. Often even losing just a little will place you in a lower-priced category and save you money year after year.
Don't engage in dangerous or extreme sports or hobbies. Unnecessarily placing your life or your health at risk will drive up the cost of your health insurance. Having a dangerous occupation can also increase the cost of your health insurance.
If you've been insured by the same company for at least 5 years you could be entitled to a Long-Term Discount on your health insurance. Similarly if you have other insurance policies, such as homeowner's or auto insurance with the same company you should receive a Multi-Policy Discount on your health policy.
What is your current co-pay when you visit your doctor's office? Many people have a 20% or 25% co-pay. Did you know that if you increase your co-pay to 50% that you can save as much as 20% on your monthly health insurance premiums? This is a particularly good way for people who do not visit their doctor on a regular basis to save a great deal of money every year.
What about your deductible? Your deductible is the amount of money you spend on your own health care each year before you even bother your insurance company. The higher your deductible the lower your monthly premium payment will be - but consider everything carefully before increasing your deductible because this is extra money you will have to come up with each year for your own health care.
Finally its time to go online and take everything you've learned in this article and plug it into at least 3 of the many websites that allow you to quickly make head-to-head comparisons of health insurance policies and prices between companies.
Remember to make your comparisons on at least 3 different sites if you want to make certain that the low price you see is truly the lowest price you can get. It takes a little extra time to make comparisons on multiple websites, but the result is that you really will save money and get discount health insurance in Florida.

How To Save Money And Get Discount Health Insurance In Indiana
In Indiana if an individual is unable to afford health insurance because they fall into a low income bracket there is help available to them. This help comes in the form of the government of the state stepping in to pay their Medicare premiums. This is done through the Medicaid program.
For everyone else the best way to save money and get discount health insurance in Indiana is through a group health plan. These are typically offered by employers as a benefit for those who work for them. Although they are often subject to a waiting period after employment commences, they are definitely something that should be strongly considered. The cost in relation to the coverage that is offered is typically quite low. Most people would be hard pressed to find comparable coverage for a similar price anywhere else.
Beyond that, for those who aren't fortunate enough to be eligible for group coverage or state assistance, there are still ways for them to find a better rate on their health insurance premiums. The most notable way is to be healthy. This means giving up any bad habits, such as smoking or drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. It also is a good idea to drop any excess weight and start a regular exercise routine. Some health insurance companies will actually lower premiums for clients who can prove they have an active membership to a gym or fitness club.
It's also good to look at what coverage you really need and what coverage can be considered optional. For instance, if you are single and you have perfect eyesight, you can likely forgo vision care benefits. If you have a substantial savings account, you might decide that disability insurance isn't something you need at this time. Picking and choosing your benefits in this fashion can really help to save money.

Boomers and Boomer's Children Must Have an Honest Talk About Money and Health - Here's How
It was so exciting when the troops came back after World War II that you could practically hear the babies being conceived for at least two years! And now, that amazing generation is around sixty years old.
What's the big deal? So they are sixty. So what? Well, traditionally, people "retired" from hard labor jobs in their sixties. They stopped working the hard job, and rested, traveled, puttered around the house until they died. Which was not far off for folks only thirty years ago.
With the advancement of science, medical technology, and a pile of other factors, humans are living longer. So while you could retire at 60 and probably live to 70/75, now people are living until 90, 95, 100+. This is amazing! This is wonderful! And it also brings up the answer to the "what's the big deal?" question.
If you're a boomer, there is high probability you're going to live longer.
Do you have enough money to keep you in the manner to which you've been accustomed?
Are you going to keep working? Do you want to keep working?
What kind of health care do you need now as you age? what will you need later?
Who is going to take care of you as you get older? Your kids? Your family? Friends?
Where are you going to live? Stay in the big house? Downsize? Live with the kids? Do they know that?
If you're a boomer's kid, in general your parents are going to live longer.
Society in the past has seen families live close together. Now, our society and culture has changed so that families are spread to the four corners of the country and earth. What expectations do you have for taking care of your parents? Do they expect you to take care of them? Will you stop what you're doing to take care of them?
Have they been supporting you physically? Financially? Do you expect that to continue?
If something happens to them, how will you know what to do to help them?
Are you going to be the one to help them?
What happens to them if they can't live alone anymore? Where will they live?
Who is going to pay for it all? You? Them? The government?
Boomers and boomer's children must have a very blunt and open conversation about aging and what expectations are for support as both groups age. Start by asking and answering the above questions. And if you're not sure what other questions you need to ask, use a tool like a Financial Documents Binder to provoke questions and answers. Find a financial advisor, an accountant, an insurance agent or another professional to talk with you about what is available and what you need to care for yourself and loved ones as you age.
Having the conversation is the starting point to ensuring you get exactly what you want as you get older. And if you don't know what you want, now is the time to figure it out while you still can.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Arkansas
Health insurance is expense everywhere and Arkansas is certainly no exception. If you have been having trouble even qualifying for health insurance in Arkansas because of a pre-existing condition or other reason beyond your control, you might want to check with the Arkansas Comprehensive Health Insurance Pool, also known as CHIP, to see if you qualify for state-sponsored health insurance.
Many people in Arkansas are still left looking for their own health insurance in the open marketplace and these people are all looking for the best ways to save money and get discount health insurance in Arkansas.
If your company offers health insurance that is probably going to be the least expensive health insurance you're going to find. Group policies are almost always cheaper than individual policies.
If your company does not offer health insurance or if you are self employed then you must find other ways of reducing your health insurance costs.
One way is to increase the percentage that you are willing to pay each time you see your doctor or other health care provider. This is known as your co pay. The higher your co pay the lower your monthly premiums will be. This can be an especially good option for those people who do not see their family doctor on a regular basis.
If you smoke you need to stop. Smoking adds considerably to the cost of your health insurance. If you are overweight you will also pay more for health insurance. Losing even a little weight can put you in a lower weight category which can save you money month after month, so anything you can do to lose weight can help.
Increasing your deductible can make a drastic reduction in your monthly premium. Consider carefully how much you can afford to pay each year for your own health care - the more you can pay and the less your health insurance has to pay then the lower your premium will be each month.
If this still isn't enough consider the possibility of purchasing an ultra-high deductible health insurance policy. An ultra-high deductible policy is one with a deductible of $2,000 or even $3,000 dollars.
What good is a health insurance policy that doesn't pay anything toward routine doctor's visits or lab work or even most out-patient surgery?
An ultra-high deductible policy - which has a very low monthly premium - is purchased as a way of preserving a person's life savings, their home or other major assets. Consider what would happen if you suddenly suffered a catastrophic accident or illness.
Medical bills in the 10s of thousands, even 100s of thousands could be filed against you in a matter of days. Your home could be in danger, your life savings would be gone in the blink of an eye, and any other assets you might have would be under investigation.
An ultra-high deductible policy, with a very affordable monthly premium, saves you from all that.
Once you decide on the steps you are going to take to keep your premium low, then it's time to go online and find several of the sites that compare health care policies between different companies.
Don't take the easy way out and just make your comparison on one site. Making your comparison on just one site means that you are not really seeing the prices from all the insurance companies doing business in Arkansas.
Instead, take the time to fill out the form on at least 3 different comparison websites and then choose the best policy at the best price. In this way you can be assured that you have saved money and gotten the best discount health insurance in the entire state of Arkansas.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in New York
Did you know you could save money and get discount health insurance in New York by choosing to purchase certain kinds of coverage and opting to omit other kinds of protection? You probably did; after all, it only makes sense that paying for a portion of something is cheaper than paying for the entire thing.
However, choosing this method to obtain affordable medical insurance in NY doesn't mean you're selling yourself short in terms of health care protection. By purchasing only certain kinds of coverage, you're not only saving money on health coverage in New York - you're also making a much more practical, financial decision.
Get started by analyzing your eye care needs. If you have an eye health condition, you may not want to skimp on vision health insurance. However, even if you wear glasses or contacts, it's usually cheaper to pay for your vision tests and glasses and contacts out-of-pocket rather than having insurance take care of the costs. Many people only have eye exams once a year - does it make sense to pay additional premiums each month for a service you only use once a year? No. Opting to pay out-of-pocket for eye care helps you get more affordable medical insurance in NY.
Next, save money on health coverage in New York by evaluating your dental care needs. Much like eye care needs, many folks won't use dental insurance more than twice a year. This means it's probably much cheaper to pay for dental care out-of-pocket rather than in your insurance premiums.
By now you're probably wondering how you're supposed to make sure you have those out-of-pocket costs when the need arises. It's simple! Open a medical savings account. Many self-employed individuals are familiar with these savings accounts, and traditional employees can benefit from them, too. There's really no need to look into companies that help set up medical savings accounts for you unless you find one that offers special options. Otherwise, simply open a savings account with a great interest program and start saving!

Compound Interest - In Life, Money and Health
The making of YOUR future
In this life of yours, YOUR future is based on some fixed and variable factors!
And what if YOU could take a situation, and turn it into a fixed; predictable and doable task? Believe me, I have seen people jump for joy, and cry tears of SATISFACTION! I did something too, and smile to myself as I have reached many 'milestones'; so new challenges in life can make me feel more NORMAL!
You train up your body with discipline today, tomorrow and for years with consistency.
People in the environment will admire the 'cause' YOU had supported; YOU are the result! Plan, prepare, execute and; "REAP WHAT YOU SOW!"
A Straight Line
Try drawing a straight line to connect two points on a piece of paper. This is direct and simple for the educated mindset!
But problems and distractions will 'DERAIL' your focus, and the straight line towards the target becomes a curve.
Similarly;
Consistency in behavior- makes it MUCH more predictable; for planning any form of activities!
And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
How many times did people think of the 'best case scenario' and fantasize about success?
The fantasy is possible. Remember, the successful people do what they do; and love to do it!
But, these people do it, with the open mind. So each failure will serve as a form of feedback. Undeterred; they change strategies to continue; their progress in the STRAIGHT LINE to their objectives.
Train yourself, make the event a part of YOUR life. YOU will be focused on IT!

Save Money on Health Insurance - Health Savings Accounts (HSA's)
Consider Using a Health Savings Account With Your Medical Plan
Health savings accounts are financial accounts that you can own and use, if you have a health insurance plan that is classified by the Internal Revenue Service as a "Qualified High Deductible Health Plan." You will find that many catastrophic-type plans are likely to be "qualified" for use with an HSA.
The big advantage of owning a health savings account is that you can deposit money into the account pre-tax. When you need medical care, you can use the balance in your health savings account to pay for your medical expenses, tax free. Check the IRS's website for a complete list of medical expenses you can pay for out of your HSA.
Another great feature of the HSA is, if you have a balance when you retire, you can use the balance in your account to supplement your retirement income. You just pay taxes on it when you take it out. Or, you can use it to pay for long term care premiums and some Medicare related products. Best of all you save on your health insurance premium because you chose a high deductible health plan. On top of that, you pay less in taxes and you own another potential retirement vehicle. If you own or buy a high deductible health plan, make sure it's a plan that's "qualified" by the IRS.
Save money on health insurance by switching to a plan that allows you to take advantage of an HSA!

Save Money on Health Insurance - Raise Your Deductible
The Easiest Way to Save Money on Health Insurance Premiums
This is the easiest thing you can do to lower your monthly premium. But for some reason, people are hesitant to actually make the change...
Most Americans are familiar with plans that cover your office visits and prescriptions before you are required to pay toward the deductible. If you have this type of plan, your deductible will most likely only apply to other, more major services. If you are healthy and don't expect to meet your deductible in the future, this is a great way to save some money.
In my opinion, the best way to decide whether or not to raise your deductible is to add up the savings in premium between the new plan and the old plan, over a 12 month period.
An Example
As a fictitious example, let's say that my family's premium is $378 per month with a $1,500 deductible, per person, per year. If I raised my deductible to $2,500 per person, the monthly premium would drop to $294 per month. That's a savings of $84 per month, or $1,008 per year. That's enough to pay the difference in the deductible for one person in my family over the next 12 months.
Given the above scenario, it's worth it for me to raise my deductible to $2,500. If the savings were only $400 over the first 12 months, I would probably opt to keep the better coverage, because it would take me two and a half years just to save enough money to pay the difference in deductible for one of my family members.
If the math makes sense, consider making the change.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance Oklahoma
Unfortunately some people seem more prone to illness than others. For someone living in Oklahoma with a history of health problems, this can prove detrimental when it comes time to purchase health insurance. Individuals who fall into this category may have to turn to the Oklahoma High Risk Pool to get health insurance.
For everyone else the best approach to saving money and getting discount health insurance in Oklahoma is through a group plan. These are typically offered by employers and consist of coverage that is very extensive. Although the employee is responsible for part of the cost of the premiums, the employer usually pays a portion as well. If a family has the luxury of coverage from more than one of these plans because both partners work, they should take full advantage of it. One plan more offer partial coverage while the other will cover the remainder. For a family with small children, this can be a great resource for their health care needs.
Another way to find a discount health insurance plan is by talking to your life or home insurance agent. Many insurance companies offer several different types of insurance and will give a discounted rate to clients who purchase more than one policy. This means you could potentially save on several different types of insurance just by purchasing from one company.
Staying healthy will also go a long way to helping reduce your insurance costs. If you haven't made too many claims in the past and you don't have a history of any serious illness, your rates will generally be quite low. Exercising and maintaining a healthy body weight in addition to eating right can contribute to better general health. If you are overweight, try and adopt a more nutritious menu and start a regular exercise regime. All of this will help to keep your insurance costs down.

Money and Health Benefits
Yes, it is a blessing for those of us who have health insurance; however there are some people unfortunately some estimate at close to over thirty million people who are without coverage. Some reasons could be by choice, while other reasons could be because of pre-existing conditions, lack of finances, or the high cost associated with health insurance. While some politicians want to debate over taxes and other trivial matters within their power, health insurance for all people should be a top priority. With all the talk about health care reform among politicians it is sad to see (politicians) not willing to compromise on a doable solution for all Americans. If some of those within the government had a child or relative with special needs and they did not have the finances or good health insurance to pay for the majority of their medical cost, then I doubt it very serious if their attitudes would be the same way their minds are currently today. Why can't there be a median to approve health insurance and health care services for the less fortunate? If (politicians) were to walk in the shoes of average ordinary people, their attitudes would probably change.
Some of us at one time or another have had good jobs, health insurance, and then when something happens to us; whether to our own health, or if unemployment were to occur for whatever reason, we all can end up without being as secure as we once were with having income, low income or no income; insurance or no insurance including life and health insurance products. No one is exempt from the possibilities of becoming ill, or jobless, which could result in having no money and no health insurance.
No one is exempt for health problems or money problems; both can still cause stressful events to happen in our lives. Health problems and money problems can occur for anyone whether they are financially stable or not. Well, you may ask; what about the rich and those that are financially independent? Even people who are wealthy still face financial concerns with their health related expenses. Most wealthy folks have high deductibles to lower their monthly premiums, but if they do not have the majority of their money protected with different life insurance products they could still end up getting wiped out if their health were to take a turn for the worse. Their flamboyant lifestyles would change tremendously because of the medical cost associated with the absorbing medical expenses involved with their healthcare services; especially if they could no longer do what they once did before experiencing a health challenge.
An example would be an entertainer who entertained people with his or her singing and dancing abilities and all of a sudden, they became paralyzed from a tragic accident; well now they are unable to continue to go on stage and perform and move their hips like they once did before. Most people especially women would not want to see a man they once loved to see entertaining sitting and performing from a wheel-chair. If this scenario were to happen to someone in the entertainment business, then their lives would be altered tremendously. Hopefully they would have had several different life insurance products to cover the many expenses they would have occurred if something like this was to happen to him or her, different kinds of life insurance products such as disability, accident, or critical illness policies pay individuals in the event if something like this were to happen. People who have their financial lives in order have these different types of life policies to protect their income and their families. There are tremendous benefits with having money and all the necessary insurance products a person would need in the event if something were to happen to an individual, but let's not look down upon those who are less fortunate such as the handicap, the poor, and people with chronic health conditions and diseases who are unable to work or obtain health or life insurance because of their pre-existing conditions. Money and good health are benefits that can keep people feeling secure as long as they have them both.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Georgia
Almost everyone requires medical care at some point. If you are fortunate you'll be part of a group health plan and will have paid for coverage through your employer. Many people unfortunately don't have this opportunity and for them, finding discount health care is a necessity. In the state of Georgia there are some programs in place to help those who are struggling to make ends meet, who just don't have the resources left over to pay for private insurance.
One such program is PeachCare which provides healthcare coverage for children under the age of nineteen. There are requirements that must be met, but for a family that is facing the uncertainty of not having adequate health insurance for their child or children, this can be a valuable resource.
If you live in Georgia and you make too much to qualify for any of the state funded health care programs, you can still take measures to help save money and find affordable health insurance. One way to do this is to ensure that you are in the best shape possible. Health insurance premiums are often based on your current health condition. If you are an overweight smoker you can expect to pay substantially more than someone who works out on a regular basis and hasn't ever smoked. In addition, you will be less likely to develop serious medical complications if you incorporate a healthier diet along with a fitness plan into your life.
You'll also want to consider a higher deductible if you are generally healthy. Most insurance companies will lower the cost of your premium if you shoulder a higher deductible. If you frequently have to seek out medical care this may not be the best choice, but for those who visit the doctor only once or twice a year, it's a great cost saving measure.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Montana
Health insurance really is a necessity in life. We can never predict when we might take ill so having coverage in place offers a sense of security. Health care is very expensive and not easily affordable by the majority of people. With an insurance policy in place, the added stress of worrying about paying for medical costs is non-existent. There are ways to save money and get discount health insurance in Montana. It's simply a matter of knowing what your options are.
By far the cheapest health insurance is available through group policies. These are traditionally offered through employers and the employee can get coverage for them and their family for a reduced costs. Many employers pay half the cost of the premiums, while the employee pays the other half through payroll deduction. This is not only inexpensive, it's also very convenient.
For someone who doesn't have this option, they need to find a private health insurance policy. The best course of action to take in this case is to compare the costs of polices through various insurance companies. Each health insurance company will take your health history into consideration when giving you a price quote. They also take other things into consideration including whether you smoke, or are overweight. If you have a high risk job, this will also raise the rates you'll be expected to pay.
Staying healthy goes a long way in securing discount health insurance. You can do this by joining a gym or even by engaging in an exercise regime at home. Maintaining a healthy body weight can be done by eating nutritious, low fat foods. Not only will this help you save money on health insurance it will also help you to enjoy a better life without worry of illness.
If you are considered high risk and ineligible for traditional health insurance in Montana you may qualify for coverage through The Montana Comprehensive Health Association. This should be viewed as a last resort, but is certainly worthwhile for those who do indeed need it.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Virginia
Regardless of how healthy you are today, tomorrow could be an entirely different story. Even if you believe you will never need health insurance, it's a good idea to consider it. When a person is in an accident or becomes ill they are already under stress, add to that the exorbitant cost of medical care and they will be suffering even further.
Finding discount health insurance in Virginia takes some research. If you are one of the many people in the state who fall into the low income category you may be able to access one of several plans in place by the government to aid residents. One program, the Family Access to Medical Services or FAMIS program is focused on children whose parents fall into a low income range. There are other qualifications as well including the age of the child who must be under nineteen.
For others, who make beyond that limit they ultimately have one goal and that is to save money and get discount health insurance in Virginia. The first place to look is with your employer. Many employers offer a great rate on group health insurance. The premiums are typically divided between the employer and the employee. An added bonus is that the payments are deducted right from the employee's weekly or bi-weekly pay check.
If your employer doesn't have a plan in place you can still find a great rate on health insurance. In this case you need to consider what options in a health plan are crucial for your family's situation. From there you can start obtaining quotes from various insurers. As your family grows you may need to alter the protection you have and when that does occur it's best to price out different insurance companies again just to be certain you are getting the best deal possible.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Minnesota
Individuals living in Minnesota who don't make a high income have a great resource available to them in terms of health care coverage. Medical Assistance is a program in place in the state that provides basic health care to low income earners. There are several requirements that have to be met and the application process includes an interview, but for someone in need of health assistance who can't afford it, this is a valuable program.
For people who don't qualify their main concern is finding a way to save money and get discount health insurance. The best approach to finding reasonably priced health insurance is through a group plan. Many employers offer group health insurance as a benefit. The company pays a portion of the premiums, and the employee covers the remainder. If this is an option, it should be utilized, as it's unlikely that any individual plan would be as cost efficient. There may be a waiting period in place after employment commences, but as soon as eligibility is granted, an application for coverage should be submitted.
Asking your car insurance agent about health insurance may seem a bit odd, but it can actually save money. If the insurer you use for life, car or home insurance, also offers health insurance, you may qualify for a multi-policy discount. This can actually cut the cost of every policy you have with the company. Ask about this when you are shopping for health insurance.
It goes without saying that there are numerous benefits to being in good health and lower health insurance premiums are one of them. If you watch your weight, and exercise on a regular basis you can generally expect to pay less for health insurance. You are viewed as less of a risk and as long as you stay healthy, your premiums are likely to remain low.

Are Life And Health Insurance Worth Spending Extra Money On?
Life and health insurance is something that everybody needs. Life can throw many bad things your way that will require coverage. Not having it will be a big mistake for anyone.
That is why you need to understand why life insurance and health insurance is so imperative. Below are the reasons that these two types of insurance are definitely worth the money
1. Unexpected things happen - Life is full of unexpected things happening. You never know when or if something will happen to you and being prepared is essential. The life insurance will protect and help your family if something happens to you.
The health insurance will protect all of you from a lot of problems you don't need. Don't ever assume that nothing will happen to you because this is a big mistake. Making this mistake can cost you everything, literally.
2. Prevents financial ruin - Life insurance will prevent financial ruin for your family. The health insurance will prevent everyone from this very real problem.
You don't want to face financial ruin at any time in your life. You most especially don't want to cause this with your family. This insurance will protect both of you from having to deal with this.
3. Coverage for you - If you should die unexpectedly, the life insurance is going to help your family. You will use health insurance all the time for every day medical coverage.
The time that this insurance will really be worth the money is if you end up with a health condition. For example, if you are told you have cancer, without coverage, you could very easily end up broke.
With the insurance you will get the health care needed without having to go broke to achieve it. Just be sure when you purchase coverage that you get the one that is right for you.
4. Medical expenses are cheaper - There are many times that you may need medical help at some time in your life. Having coverage will make your expenses cheaper. This is something that anyone can benefit from.
Medical problems can happen at any time, so be sure you are prepared. Don't assume you won't ever need it because this can be very costly for you in one way or another.
Now that you can see why life and health insurance are essential, you need to both now. The sooner you have these two types of insurance, the sooner you will be prepared for anything. Don't wait until coverage is needed because by then it will be too late to get it.

How to Save Money and Get Discount Health Insurance in Wisconsin
By now you know the easiest way to save money and get discount health insurance in Wisconsin is to purchase a group health insurance policy. In Wisconsin, the most straightforward way to get group medical coverage is through employer-sponsored health insurance plans. Not only does this way help you save money on health care coverage in Wisconsin, but it also makes the shopping process relatively painless.
However, not all Wisconsin residents will be able to obtain affordable medical coverage in WI through employers. There are various reasons for these kinds of situations. Perhaps your employer doesn't offer health care plans for employees. Or, maybe your job does offer medical benefits but you work part-time and don't qualify. You may even be unemployed right now with no employer to turn to.
If you fall into any of the above categories, rest assured that it's still possible for you to find an inexpensive group health insurance policy. Your employer isn't your only option; there are other ways to obtain group plans and save money on health care coverage in Wisconsin.
First, contact your labor union. Many times these organizations offer group medical coverage, and if they don't, they'll probably point you in the right direction to find alternative ways to obtain Wisconsin discount insurance. They're there to help you, after all. Your employer can provide contact information.
If you don't belong to a labor union, find a professional organization designed to assist people who work in your field. Most professional organizations offer some sort of medical plan as member benefits. They may even have a designated website, or link to a website, that provides free online health insurance quotes.
Finally, check with any other clubs or associations to which you belong. These organizations include credit card companies, college and university alumni associations, and national fraternities and sororities.

Save Money on Health Insurance - Tweak Your Coverage
There are a number of things you can do to keep high quality coverage and save money on your health insurance premiums at the same time.
Lower Your Co-Insurance Percentage
Most plans cover 100%, 90%, 80%, or 70% of your medical expenses after you meet your deductible. If you have the option to lower your co-insurance percentage, consider moving making the switch to lower your monthly cost. Most plans will have out-of-pocket maximums (the maximum amount you would pay per year for all covered services, in the event of a catastrophe) to protect you in a major event, so it's not as bad as it sounds.
For instance, my out-of-pocket-maximum is $3,000 for the year. That's the most I would pay in one year, period. Changing your co-insurance percentage to a lower level might raise your out-of-pocket maximum or total risk a little bit. Find out the details before you make the change.
Drop Your Accident Benefit
Sometimes accident riders are a good benefit to have. They typically cover the first set dollar amount of an accident, before you are required to pay toward your medical deductible and co-insurance. Accident riders can be beneficial especially if you have kids. However, if you can do without this benefit, find out how much it will save you to drop it, if that's an option.
Reduce Your Annual or Lifetime Maximum Benefit
Some plans have very high lifetime maximums. I have seen them as high as $25,000,000. Also, you may be able to lower your annual benefit maximum. Only consider making these two changes if you feel confident that your maximum benefits are substantial. Even then, it's good to consult your agent.
